In Remembrance

The joys of rescue sadly come with the reality that these sweet creatures are not with us forever. This page is dedicated to those that were given a second chance and have now crossed the Rainbow Bridge....

Cordi

Cordi
This sweet girl arrived with her brother from Northern CA and melted the hearts of her new family right from the beginning. Sadly, Cordelia, nicknamed Cordi, was diagnosed with distemper shortly after finding her perfect family. Despite her admirable will to fight this ugly illness, she crossed the rainbow bridge on October 19, 2007. We are all grateful that she was shown what true love was like for the last days of her life. God bless you, Mall. We'll never forget you...

Lily

Lily
Lovely Lily, a 4 month old bundle of joy proved her worthiness for a second chance...showering kisses and rolling in the grass making cute puppy noises. Sadly, this endearing puppy didn't make it to see her happy future as she'd hoped. Lily passed over the bridge on her way into rescue, September 10, 2008, while asleep in her kennel. Such a short life won't be forgotten Lily...you will be in our hearts and memories. Godspeed baby girl.

Never given a chance...
These 3 darling sisters were on their way to being saved, to happily grow up and each find their forever families. While Lab and Friends was coordinating transport to bring the 3 girls down from Nevada before the New Year, their one chance for survival was taken from them. Unbeknowst to our rescue, all 3 sadly crossed the rainbow bridge on December 19th, 2008, just days before they reached safety. Sweet babies, you are a constant reminder of how important the work we do in rescue is. Although you never were given the chance to be named and loved, WE will never forget you. Rather, we will continue to fight to save precious lives like yours from being unjustly taken. Godspeed little ones, you are forever in our memory...Lauren, Aubree and Jenny.

Astro

Astro
This tiny baby, the darling runt in a litter of 10, proved to be a fighter in his short life. Never to be the last one to arrive at mealtime, cuddly as could be with his siblings (even when they squished him!) and just a little character to all who knew him. Sadly, his fragile body just couldn't withstand the pneumonia that overtook him and he passed over the bridge on January 30, 2009. He was very loved in his short life, and lives in our memories.

Trixi

Trixi
Sweet Trixi. East going and mellow, yet never one to fail standing up for herself when it came to playtimel Her remembrance is written by her foster mama, who gave this precious pup love, toys and comfy dog beds as she enjoyed her, unknown at the time, last days. Diagnosed suddenly with parvovirus, she fought with all her will, but so sadly lost the battle on March 21, 2009. She was given the best possible medical care from the rescue through her ordeal and passed over the bridge peacefully. Trixi, you won't be forgotten and you truly touched our hearts in the short time you were with us.
Love you so much...godspeed baby girl.
